Ruby Shiau Chiang was a beloved member of the West Windsor community who adored her family and the many friends that she made there. She was known for her infectious smile, calm demeanor, and caring personality. She brightened the lives of all that she touched in her short time with us.
Ruby was born July 20, 1972 in Chattanooga, TN to Jeff and Jane Shiau. She comes from a tightly knit Taiwanese American family, including her brother, Kelly Shiau, and her sister, Vickie Shiau Chou.
In 1990, Ruby graduated from Girls’ Preparatory School in Chattanooga, TN where she was a student athlete who developed a passion for playing volleyball and tennis. She then earned a degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a MBA from UCLA. She worked in New York City for Lehman Brothers, CitiCorp and Sanwa Bank. While in New York City, she met her husband, Rob. They married on September 15, 2001 in Chattanooga, TN. They created a beautiful family together in West Windsor, NJ. Most dear to Ruby’s heart was her family--her husband, Rob, and her kids, Kevin and Julia.
Ruby was very involved in youth sports in the West Windsor community. She imparted her own love of sports not only to her kids but also to those whom she coached on her West Windsor Ninja softball teams. She will always be loved and always be missed.
